The Match

After a lot of intensive training and coaching it was time for the "Match"

 It was a great match and despite a wonderful performance of the Tullinge gang, we lost 1-2

ESTABLISHMENT :
The people of Goa had been very desperately craving for a faculty of Homoeopathy for a very long period. A comprehensive study of advancement of Homoeopathy in the world over and the necessity of Goans to have faculty of Homoeopathy inspired the Hon’ble Chairman and the members of the Governing Board to invest unforgettable efforts to establish Shri Kamaxidevi Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital in the year 1998 – 99. The College is affiliated to the privileges of University of Goa and recognized by the Central Council of Homoeopathy & Govt. of Goa. It is a massive project of extending the Noble knowledge of Homoeopathy -- a venture & the vision of our Hon’ble Chairman, Shri Subhash Shirodkar.
 


Fitness Center

The College has a very well equiped fitness center.

The center offers many different types of Therapies
such as Light therapy and Elektro therapy.

Areas of specialisation are all types of sports injuries and post surgical rehabilation.

The center provides a wide range of services such as
Pain care clinic
Aerobics program
Yoga program





Media coverage

The media in India has taken quite an interest in our project.

The” Times of India” had an article about us on Friday the 10 December page 2.

 

We were also on the local TV station Goa 365 where students and staff from both the schools were

Day 11

Thursday today! And guess what we started the day with? Yoga! how did you know?
The yoga is still fun! We have created a special post for just the yoga! so be sure to check that out! we will post tons of pictures there!

After the yoga we had breakfast as always and after that we had another interesting lecture about Goan culture! Today it was about the media and how has affected Goa! Might not sound so fun, but trust me it was really was!
After this lecture we had lunch and then went to a place called Big Foot which is a completely accurate aspect of Goa's past as possible! They had built up an Goan mini village showing Goas culture and heritage and a lot of other things!

... and when we came back everyone was GONE! oh no!!

But then we found Jennifer, wheeeew!

After this we went back to the hotel and had reflection time with our class. We talked about the trip and what has been good and what hasn't been so good. I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we all are very happy and lucky to be here! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!



Yoga course

We have attended a yoga course every morning 05.45-08.15.
The course is a mixture of both theory and practice.

After two weeks of hard word we got our certificates.





Day 10

Today was AWESOME!
We started the day with yoga, big supprise.
Later we had a presskonferans. Some of us were interviewed by journalists and a Goan tv channel called Goa 365.
So today we've been on TV! We haven't seen the newpaper yet, but I'll bet its great!

After this great start we had a lecture in Goan culture and we learnt about the Art in Goa.
It was interesting. After this we went to a beach to just swim and relax. it was great fun!
The beaches here are really amazing! I can undertand why Goa get a lot of tourists!

Day 9

Started the day with yoga like always. After that we had breakfast and then we went to Jyot School which is a school for children with autistim. The school was founded by a parent who had an autistic child of her own.
unfortunately the school was very small, but still very warm and caring. The children there was amazing. They all had different stories, some of them were horrible...

After this visit we went back to the collage for lunch and then we took the bus to see two temples.
The first one was Shree Shantadurga The original temple was destroyed by the portuguise in 1564 but was later rebuilt. The temple is located at Panaji
at the foothill of Kavalem.
The other students showed us around and told us about the temple.

The second temple is called Mahalasa. It is the most important temple in Goa.
The students showed us around here too and told us about the gods and such. Really interesting!
We weren't allowed to take photos inside the temples but we have a few from outside.

After this we went back to the hotel!



Day 8

Monday today! feeling fresh and alert after the weekend!
Started the day with Yoga as usuall at 6 in the morning.
After the yoga we had a Lucia procession and a presentation about Sweden infront o the school.
Some of us were very nervous, but it all went well. They really enojyed it! We sang a few different songs eg. Nu tandas tusen juleljus, Goder Afton, Rudolf med roda mulen and a few others.
Ebba held a power point presentation about Sweden. She was awesome! Good job standing there by your own!
unfortunately we dont have so many pictures from that since we all were singing!

After this event we had lunch and then went to a HIV clinic called ASRO. ASRO supports persons suffering from HIV/AIDS. They provide treatment, nutrition and relaxation for the persons sufering from HIV/AIDS.
It was fun but we all were a bit touched by the children there. It clinic seemed like a good one. The children there was playing football and cricet. Badal and Emelie joined them!
We weren't allowed to take pictures.


After this we went back to the hotel and had dinner!

Day 7

Hello!
Today we were on a visit to a temple and it was fine. After that we went to a spice farm and walked around and looked at different spice plants. We also saw a few elephants. Some of us bought some spices! There were even treated to a buffet lunch which was good. Now we are on site and have just been training at the Lucia songs we will sing tomorrow before the whole school. It will be fun, but nervously.

Soon we'll get up and eat dinner. The food is very good at the hotel which is good.

Day 6

Today is Saturday and we had a lazy day on the beach. It was great to be able to sleep and releax. We've had a tough week, so it was nice to just have some fun.



Day 5

We had Yoga as usual and after that we had a ceremony were we planted different herbs with our yoga teacher.

This is our yoga teacher. Here he is talking about the herb we are about to plant.


After the planting we had a lecture in Goan culture. Its was very interesting becouse we get a good background about how the Goan culture has changed during generations and why Goa is the way it is today.


After lunch we went to another beach. The water was warm and great. We had a great lunch as well.


In the evening we went on a short boat trip. It was great fun.
